What the Font : Catalina Island

Seaside weather worn benches, lobster diving nets, maritime colors of blues and reds, and a ferry ride to a quiet island just off shore from busy Los Angeles. Catalina Island; where bicycles are more rampant than cars, hotels from the 1800s still bear the same signs, and the tropical vegetation covers more of the island than housing (yay!) What a magical place.

Bold, naturally distressed fonts and nostalgic signage add to the charm of the island town Avalon. If you get the chance to visit, be sure to bike up to the botanical gardens where a beautifully designed and tiled homage to Wrigley (of the chewing gum fame) sits atop the hill with a breathtaking view towards the ocean.
