Walks are as good for creative blocks as they are for our legs. When I’m stumped on a project, a quick walk around my neighborhood never fails to give my eyes and mind the break and clearance needed. I live on a hill, so all the homes are perched above, which means that almost each home has a staircase entry. It’s an older neighborhood, and many of the homes have walkways made of beautiful old piled stone with creeping succulents and wild fruit trees. I snapped these on my last mosey through the streets. Passageways always beg for more. What’s above? Who lives there? What does it look like inside?..
